Práticas educativas no maio laranja: promovendo respeito, cuidado e proteção na infância

Abstract

This article presents an experience report developed in Early Childhood Education during the “May Laranja” campaign, aiming to promote reflections on sexual education, child protection, body respect, and violence prevention. The pedagogical practice was carried out with two Kindergarten II groups, composed of children aged five to six years, in a municipal school in the city of Araras. The proposal was guided by the principles and objectives of the National Common Curricular Base (BNCC) and theoretically grounded in authors such as Freire, Hooks, Louro, and Vygotsky. The activities included playful and dialogical strategies, such as storytelling, conversation circles, songs, dramatizations, educational videos, and artistic productions. These activities aimed to strengthen autonomy, empathy, emotional expression,

and the construction of relationships based on respect and care. The results showed active participation from the children and highlighted the importance of preventive and humanized educational practices for socio-emotional development in childhood. It is concluded that the school plays a fundamental role in promoting the comprehensive protection of children and in building welcoming, safe environments committed to civic education. results, and conclusions.
